Icelandair is seeking shareholder approval to acquire Icelandic low-cost carrier Wow Air. Interim Icelandair Group president and CEO Bogi Nils Bogason said Wow would continue to operate as its own brand and under its own operating approval following the acquisition, though "there are many opportunities for synergies between the two companies." Combined, Icelandair and Wow make up 3.8 percent of transatlantic market share.
