Iberia Airlines has signed an agreement to purchase 6 million gallons of sustainable aviation fuel each year for five years, Gevo announced Wednesday, with deliveries projected to start in 2028. Iberia is part of International Airlines Group, which has committed to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050, with 10 percent usage of SAF by 2030. The expected value of the deal is $165 million for the five-year period, according to Gevo.
