Global air travel demand in July increased 6.8
percent year over year, slightly slower growth than in June, according to the
International Air Transport Association. Despite that slowdown, global load
factor reached a July record of 84.7 percent. International air travel demand increased
in all global regions, most prominently in Latin America, which has been helped
by the "healthier, albeit still fragile, economic backdrop of
Brazil," according to IATA. Domestic air travel demand increased in all
major global domestic markets except Australia.
