In March, the Lufthansa Group will shift its Miles &
More reward program to be revenue based rather than mileage based. For awards,
members will receive four to six miles per euro spent, though the system of
allocating miles for status and related privileges will remain the same.
Similarly, Air France-KLM last month announced its Flying Blue program will
shift to a revenue-based scheme in April. All three U.S. legacy carriers had
switched to revenue-based programs by
2016.
