Emirates has placed an order for 65 additional Boeing 777-9 aircraft worth $38 billion, the carrier announced Monday at the Dubai Airshow. The new deal places Emirates' orderbook with Boeing at 315 widebody aircraft: 270 777Xs, 10 777 freighters and 35 787s.
The airline also announced it is deploying Starlink Wi-Fi across its fleet. The first aircraft to roll it out will be a Boeing 777 on Nov. 23. The first Airbus A380 aircraft will debut it in early 2026, according to Emirates.
The rollout is projected to be completed by mid-2027. The service will be free "for all customers, across all cabins on Starlink-equipped aircraft, with simple one-click access that requires no payment or special Skywards [loyalty] membership," according to Emirates.
