Delta SkyMiles has introduced a Reclaim My Status feature for Medallion members who temporarily are unable to travel due to a major life event. The feature allows members who have such an event—becoming a parent or facing a serious illness or injury, for example—to apply via Delta's website to get their Medallion status reinstated. Upon approval, Delta will reactivate their status for three months, and so long as the traveler meets spending and traveling requirements during that three-month period, the status is then reinstated through the end of the next calendar year, according to Delta.
