Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport is working with American Airlines to open a sixth terminal, projected to be ready as early as 2025. The terminal, which will house as many as 24 gates, is part of DFW's planned investment of $3 billion to $3.5 billion in terminal improvements. The work also will include renovation of Terminal C, one of the airport's original terminals, with new check-in areas, larger security checkpoints and more concessions space.
