The Civil Aviation Administration of China announced that
carriers could set their own prices on domestic routes on which at least five
carriers compete, according to Reuters, impacting more than 300 routes.
However, changes in either direction are capped at 10 percent for each travel
season. China allows airlines to set domestic fares within a certain range of a
price that regulators determine, but the country began easing those
restrictions a few years ago.
