The U.S. Department of Transportation has granted final approval for American Airlines and Qantas to move forward with their joint business agreement. The approval comes with the requirement that American and Qantas provide an annual progress report on the agreement, as well as a “detailed assessment” after seven years, according to the DOT. The DOT had issued tentative approval to the agreement last month.
