American Airlines is extending current AAdvantage elite status for its members through Jan. 31, 2022. The carrier also is lowering elite and Executive Platinum reward qualification requirements for this year and is extending the expiration dates for Admirals Club memberships and one-day passes by six months. In addition, American Airlines is giving its elite members a $400 credit toward American Airlines Vacations bookings. American joins other carriers that have extended elite status by a year, including Air Canada, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines.
