American Airlines has completed installation of high-speed satellite Wi-Fi access across the more than 700 aircraft in its mainline narrowbody fleet. All aircraft now have either Gogo 2Ku or ViaSat satellite Wi-Fi products that enable internet access or free entertainment options like movies and live TV. The installation process took less than two years, according to American SVP for marketing, loyalty and sales Kurt Stache. American now is installing power at every seat across its mainline and two-class regional fleets, as well as tablet holders on the majority of its narrowbody aircraft.
