Alaska Airlines had the best on-time performance among North American carriers in April, the fourth consecutive month, according to FlightStats. Spirit's on-time rate fell from 86.9 percent in March to 82.7 percent in April but remained above average. For the third consecutive month, Southwest was the only major airline to perform below average.
