Alaska Airlines is extending current Mileage Plan status levels through Dec. 31, 2021, the carrier announced on Tuesday. All usual tier benefits will apply in 2021 with the exception of the 50,000 bonus miles awarded to those who earn 75K status, and Alaska plans in the coming weeks to announce other ways 75K members can earn bonus miles. Alaska also is extending trial status for those who enrolled in a status match challenge between Dec. 1, 2019, and March 31, 2020, to run through the end of 2021, and the carrier is extending companion certificates set to expire this year to be valid until the end of 2020.
