Air France-KLM has named Eric Caron as SVP and general manager for North America, overseeing the airline group's passenger activities in the United States, Canada, Mexico and French Polynesia.
Caron has been with Air France since 1998 and most recently was its EVP of in-flight services, based in Paris. He now will be based in New York for the newly created position, a return to the region he oversaw as VP and general manager of the United States and Mexico a few years ago.
Air France and KLM together plan to operate 268 weekly flights to 28 destination in the region from Paris and Amsterdam during the winter season. Caron also will be working with the group's joint-venture partner Delta Air Lines as part of his role, he said.
