Aeroflot has added a new nonrefundable "base fare" for its premium Business and Comfort class cabins, available across its network for flights beginning March 4.
The fares, meant for passengers who "appreciate comfort and premium service [but] are price-conscious," according to Aeroflot deputy CEO for commerce and finance Andrey Chikhanchin, will be priced below standard Business and Comfort fares and still will include most benefits, such as seat selection and lounge access for Business class. They have a stricter baggage policy, however, each allowing one free checked bag rather than two. Extra checked baggage will be available at a discount.
Aeroflot also recently added an upgrade option for Aeroflot Bonus members, with which they can use miles to upgrade from Economy with an Optimum fare or Comfort class to a higher class upon check-in. The upgrade option is available on routes to Aeroflot's 18 most popular destinations, according to the carrier.
