The number of corporate air trips sold by U.S. agencies held about steady in February, Airlines Reporting Corp. reported Thursday.
February trips sold by travel agencies with at least 70 percent self-reported corporate and government business counted by ARC increased 0.27 percent year over year, only the third month in the past 14 it has increased.
The February average price for a U.S. domestic roundtrip ticket was $601, up from $581 reported in January and $562 reported in February 2025. The February 2026 average fare was the highest monthly figure reported by ARC since June 2022, when it was $605.
Overall February U.S. based agency air ticket sales exceeded $9.6 billion, an increase of more than 11 percent year over year. Total passenger trips for the month were nearly 26 million, up more than 8 percent compared with February 2025. There were nearly 16.1 million domestic trips, an increase of more than 9 percent year over year, while international trips were up nearly 7 percent to more than 9.9 million.
"After a record-setting January, air travel demand remained strong in February, reflecting travelers' resilience as they braved winter weather disruptions and volatility for some international destinations," ARC chief commercial officer Steve Solomon said in a statement. "In an encouraging sign for U.S. travel agencies, each ARC agency segment—[leisure-focused, online travel agencies and corporate agency sales]—was either at or above year-over-year passenger trip levels for the first time since September 2025."
New Distribution Capability transactions accounted for 21 percent of the total February ARC-settled transactions, up 19.1 percent year over year, with 1,189 travel agencies reporting NDC transactions.
The average price of an economy-class ticket in February was $539, an increase of 7 percent year over year. The average price of a premium-class ticket was $1,423, also up 7 percent compared with February 2025.
