Canadian low-cost carrier WestJet has released an AI-powered chatbot called Juliet on Facebook Messenger. On the chatbot, travelers can book flights, receive alerts of real-time deals, ask questions about their flights and, based on short set of questions, receive three or four flight recommendations. Requests about rebookings, missed flights and sensitive topics and those Juliet can't handle in two attempts pass on to a live agent. Juliet does not integrate with corporate travel programs and does not feature corporate negotiated rates.
