Navan is developing a new agentic layer that the company says will reach out to travelers without prompting to assist them during their trips, the company announced.
The layer, TravelClaw, "will be able to reason, act and reach out to travelers via a messaging app, email or Navan native apps," Navan co-founder and chief technology officer Ilan Twig said in a blog post. Built on the Navan Cloud, TravelClaw will be able to tap traveler preferences to message suggestions to travelers, such as a calculated walking time at the airport or a reminder of the location of the PreCheck checkpoint.
"Unlike chatbots that wait for a prompt, TravelClaw will operate in the background nonstop, continuously monitoring your trip and every detail surrounding it," according to Twig.
The TravelClaw agents will be available to users of both Navan and the recently announced Navan Edge, a travel assistant app for unmanaged business travelers. Twig said the rollout to travelers will begin "soon."
