Carlson Wagonlit Travel has extended its reseller agreement with Serko, expanding availability of Serko's award-winning Zeno T&E platform to CWT clients in the U.S. and Canada. Serko had made Zeno, which specializes in small and midsize enterprises, available directly to corporates, but now North American clients can assimilate it with other travel management company services through CWT's preferred supplier program.
The pact already enabled the mega TMC to resell Zeno in the latter company's home base of Australia and New Zealand. The expanded agreement runs until June 2022 and automatically will roll over for two years if not terminated by either party, the companies said.
The deal also flows hotel supply from CWT's RoomIt hotel merchandising platform into Zeno's booking tool in all markets. RoomIt previously had not integrated into Zeno in any market. CWT's reseller agreement with Serko makes RoomIt content available to mutual clients of CWT and Zeno; via separate deals with CWT, other agencies can sell RoomIt content through Zeno. Also new is a self-onboarding platform for Zeno, which simplifies rollout and configuration for travel managers and program administrators, the companies said.
New Zealand-based Serko has been ramping up its North America presence, launching Zeno in the U.S. in April and rolling out in Canada in November. The company closed out the year with the acquisition of Minneapolis-based InterplX, an expense specialist with a roster of North American clients, including multiple Fortune 500 companies. Attendees at BTN's annual Innovate conference in October named Zeno the People's Choice winner.
Updated Feb. 13 at 11:45 a.m. Eastern: This story has been clarified to reflect that the CWT-Serko reseller relationship does not make RoomIt available to all Zeno users.
