Shimon Avish has joined DigiTravel Consulting as VP of consulting. He will help organizations curate and integrate emerging technologies into their travel and meetings management programs. Previously, he was principal and meetings management head at Acquis Consulting Group for over a year. Before that, Avish worked at American Express Global Business Travel, American Express Meetings & Events, BCD Meetings & Events and his own firm, Shimon Avish Consulting. Former Cisco global travel manager Susan Lichtenstein and Jay Roseman, a long-time executive for Amex GBT, founded DigiTravel in June. Of Avish's value to DigiTravel, Lichtenstein said he has "helped create industry-changing strategies and road maps of how companies identify and capitalize on their savings opportunities and process efficiencies."
