American Express is launching this week a new travel app for cardholders, the company announced.
Within the app—which an Amex spokesperson said will be useable by commercial and small-business cardholders as well as consumer cardholders—travelers will be able to book flights, hotels and transportation. Amex plans to continue to enhance the app to provide users with personalized hotel recommendations, details of benefits related to their card and destination information.
The travel app will launch for iOS users on Thursday and for Android users a few weeks after that, according to Amex.
Amex also announced that it has added estimated wait times to the digital waitlist for its Centurion lounges. The enhancement lets travelers get a general idea of how long they should expect to wait before signing up on the waitlist to help them better plan their visits, according to Amex.
