Mieke De Schepper has joined Amadeus as EVP of Amadeus' online travel segment, working with online travel customers—including online travel agencies, travel media companies and startups—and will report to Amadeus Travel Channels president Decius Valmorbida. She also will serve as Amadeus Asia/Pacific managing director. She comes from Egencia, where she served as chief commercial officer and SVP. Before that, she was VP of Expedia Group lodging partner solutions in Asia/Pacific.
Effective Feb. 1, Stefan Ropers will head Amadeus' strategic growth businesses—which includes its airport, rail and payment customers units—and its innovation function. He has held numerous roles in the technology sector, including at McKinsey's business technology office, Microsoft and Adobe, from which Ropers joins Amadeus.
