WestJet November’s Timeliest North American Airline

WestJet’s 89.9 percent on-time arrival rate ranked it as November’s most punctual major North American airline, according to FlightStats. North American carriers on average got 83.56 percent of flights to the gate within 15 minutes of their scheduled arrival times. Among the 12 largest carriers, Delta Air Lines (86.7 percent), Virgin America (84.8 percent), Alaska Airlines (84.4 percent) and JetBlue Airways (83.6 percent) also had above-average on-time rates. Southwest Airlines (83.5 percent), American Airlines (83 percent), United Airlines (82.2 percent), Air Canada (82 percent), Spirit Airlines (76.4 percent), Frontier Airlines (75.4 percent) and Allegiant Air (63.7 percent) had on-time rates below the monthly average.
