Total U.S. airline capacity increased 3.8 percent in June compared with the same month last year.
Overall demand rose in the same proportion, and thus load factors remained steady at 86.5 percent. Among the Big Four, Southwest saw the largest capacity increase, at 6.9 percent, and American held mainline capacity growth to just 2.2 percent. Delta's capacity rose 4.1 percent and United's 2.6 percent.
