The average daily rate at U.S. hotels in October increased 4.8 percent year over year to $124.01,
according to STR. Occupancy increased 1.6 percent to 69.1 percent. Among the top 25 markets, Nashville reported the largest ADR increase, up 10.5 percent to $139.80. St. Louis, which experienced a 0.1 percent decrease in ADR to $101.02, was the only market to experience a decline. The Minneapolis/St. Paul market posted a 10 percent increase in occupancy to 76.3 percent, while Houston saw the largest occupancy drop, 5.6 percent to 72.3 percent.
