TRX Inc. reported slightly lower September quarter net income and revenue than in the year-earlier period.

Net income fell to $700,000 from $800,000 last year while total revenue declined to $12.8 million from $13.6 million. The company reported lower year-over-year revenue from transaction processing services but a 20 percent jump in data intelligence services revenue to $3 million, which CEO Shane Hammond attributed to conversion of "prospective and organic opportunities into sales." CFO David Cathcart added that TRX "ended the third quarter with our lowest level of debt in over five years."
