Reserved occupancy at North American hotels for the third quarter of 2015 is up 2.7 percent from the same period last year,
according to the July TravelClick North American Hospitality Review. Reserved group business occupancy is up 3.1 percent, and the average daily rate for those bookings is up 3 percent. Transient business reserved occupancy is down 0.3 percent, while ADR for those bookings is up 6.1 percent. For the next 12 months, overall committed occupancy is up 2.4 percent from the same time last year, and ADR is up 4.3 percent. The July NAHR examines group sales commitments and individual reservations in 25 major North American markets for hotel stays booked by July 5, 2015, for the period between July 2015 and June 2016.
