Polish carrier Lot plans to nearly double its fleet over the next five years
and increase its service to Europe, North America and Asia significantly next year. Lot will add service to Tokyo in January 2016 and Bangkok and Seoul in fall 2016, and it will expand its current service to New York and Chicago in the 2016/2017 winter season, the carrier announced Sunday. Additionally, the carrier will add more than a dozen destinations—such as Venice; Cluj-Napoca, Romania; and Ljubljana, Slovenia—to its European network beginning in 2016, including restoration of service to markets it had discontinued under a restructuring plan with the European Union, such as Barcelona, Athens, Zurich and Nice, France.
