JetBlue Airways reported second-quarter net income of $152 million.
That's down from $230 million in the second quarter of 2014, but that period included a gain from JetBlue’s sale of its LiveTV subsidiary. Passenger revenue increased 9 percent year over year during the second quarter to $1.5 billion, and the average fare increased 0.6 percent to $168.85. JetBlue’s load factor rose 1 percentage point to 85.6 percent as traffic increased 8.7 percent and capacity increased 7.5 percent. Passenger revenue per available seat mile increased 1.4 percent.
