Hilton Worldwide posted positive metrics during the third quarter, as average daily rate rose 4.2 percent year over year to $142.90.
Occupancy increased 1.2 percentage points to 79.9 percent. Transient growth served as the primary driver of revenue, up 6 percent year over year, as Labor Day and Yom Kippur fell later this year than usual, impacting group demand, which increased 4 percent. With the company at the midpoint of corporate negotiations, CEO Chris Nassetta said, Hilton expects to achieve mid-single-digit or higher rate increases. Systemwide revenue grew to 2.9 billion during the quarter from the third quarter of 2014's 2.6 billion.
