Hertz reported a $212.5 million third-quarter profit,
up
from $160 million last year. Rental car revenues grew to $2.1 billion from $1.9
billion in the third quarter of 2010. Rental car transactions increased 6
percent worldwide year over year, though rental rate revenue per transaction
day declined by 5 percent.
