Global airline traffic increased 8.2 percent year over year in July, and capacity increased 6.5 percent,

the International Air Transport Association reported Friday. Traffic on international routes rose 8.6 percent year over year and across all markets. Domestic air travel increased 7.6 percent and in all countries measured, and growth was strongest in China (10.9 percent) and India (28.1 percent), the latter owing to “significant increases in service frequencies and improvements in economic growth,” according to IATA.
