Ethiopian Airlines plans to nearly double its fleet size of 76 aircraft to 150 by 2025,
CEO Tewolde GebreMariam said this week. The carrier has 47 aircraft on order and is talking with Airbus to speed up delivery of the last of 14 A350-900s from the end of 2018 to the end of 2017. Additionally, Ethiopian Airlines ordered six Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners last month and is evaluating Boeing 777X, Airbus 350-1000 and Bombardier Q400 aircraft, according to GebreMariam.
