Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group reported third-quarter net income of $66.6 million,
which is "the highest quarterly profit in its
history," according to president and CEO Scott Thompson. That compares
with a $49.2 million profit for the same period last year. Rental days during
the quarter increased 4 percent year over year, though revenue per day declined
nearly 2 percent to $50.12.
