American Express corporate card customers increased third-quarter spending on business-class air tickets by nearly 10 percent,

according to a recent report from American Express Business Insights. Small business card customers increased such spending by 7 percent. Derived from "transactions on the American Express payment network," the report also showed that corporate card customers spent much more than last year on economy lodging but less on car rental.
