Airline traffic increased 7.3 percent year over year in September, and capacity increased 6.6 percent,

the International Air Transport Association reported. Passenger demand for international travel increased 7 percent and rose across all regions. Domestic demand rose 7.8 percent and rose in all large global markets except Brazil. The biggest increases for domestic air travel demand were in India (13.2 percent), China (12.5 percent) and Russia (12.1 percent).
