AirPlus International customers in the first half of 2015 spent 9.6 percent more on international business travel
than during the first half of 2014, according to parent company Lufthansa’s interim report, released Thursday. Client air travel spend for the period also rose 3.2 percent year over year, resulting in a 6.7 percent rise in booked business flights. Airplus International reported €29 million in earnings before interest and tax, a 45 percent year-over-year increase that owed to higher billing volumes and positive exchange rate effects.
