International Airlines Group's passenger revenue increased
2.3 percent year over year to 6.5 billion euros in the third quarter. Capacity
was up 2.8 percent, and traffic increased 4.2 percent; load factor was up 1.2
percentage points to 87.6 percent. IAG's profit for the quarter was 1 billion
euros, down from 1.1 billion euros in the third quarter of 2018. Flight
disruptions including industrial
action by British Airways pilots in September dealt a 155 million euro blow
to profits, and fuel costs were up 136 million euros year over year, according
to CEO Willie Walsh.
