Frosch
International Travel has acquired midsize corporate travel firm Luxe Travel.
The transaction details were not disclosed. Frosch, which ranked No. 15 on
Travel Weekly's Power List in 2019, reported $2.25 billion in annual sales and
employs 1,180. The acquisition adds more than 200 employees and $200 million in
annual sales, according to Frosch. However, Luxe Travel did not appear on
Travel Weekly's list, which aims to profile agencies with more than $100 million
in annual sales. The Luxe leadership team remains in place following the acquisition.
Luxe
is co-headquartered in Irvine, Cal., and Boca Raton, Fl. The acquisition gives
Frosch, headquartered in New York and Houston, a stronger presence on the West
Coast. Luxe president & CEO Craig Carter said his company would benefit
from Frosch's additional resources, particularly in technology and fulfillment.
Luxe
Travel gained profile in BTN last year by its association with Travel Manager
of the Year Suzanne Boyan. Boyan
chose Luxe to support ZS Associate's omnichannel strategy, which balances
use of the TMC channel with a direct booking strategy.
