Lufthansa chairman and CEO Christoph Franz "will not renew his contract when it expires on May 31, 2014,"
the airline group announced. Franz is expected to become chairman of Roche, pending the pharmaceutical company's board approval. Lufthansa did not immediately announce a successor.
