Advisory firm Hudson Crossing hired industry vet Henry Harteveldt and announced that co-founder Tom Botts joined boutique hotel owner and operator Denihan Hospitality Group.
Privately-held Denihan owns or operates 15 boutique hotels in major urban markets, including properties under The James and Affinia Hotels brands and some independent hotels. Botts fills the newly formed executive vice president and chief customer officer role, reporting to president David Duncan. Botts is tasked with "developing and executing a holistic approach to Denihan's customers across brands, driving customer acquisition, retention and profitability," according to a company statement. "He will lead the marketing, customer experience, sales, revenue management and business intelligence functions." Before co-founding Hudson Crossing in 2007, Botts worked at Delta, Hotwire.com and Starwood. He will remain on Hudson Crossing's advisory council. Harteveldt, meanwhile, is joining Hudson Crossing as a "travel industry analyst," according to the company. Founding partner Andy Hermo praised Harteveldt for "having established a reputation as a true travel industry expert and a reliable source for critical industry data and analytics." Harteveldt previously led the travel consulting and research practice at Forrester Research and co-founded Atmosphere Research Group.
