Carlson president and CEO Trudy Rautio will retire in May, the company announced Thursday.

Her exit will usher in a leadership structure in which Carlson's travel and hospitality platforms each will have a dedicated CEO. COO David Berg will serve as CEO for Carlson Hospitality, while Doug Anderson will continue as president and CEO of Carlson Wagonlit Travel but report directly to the Carlson board of directors. The company in a statement explained that the structure "reflects the reshaping of the Carlson portfolio following the divestiture of the restaurants business and has been thoughtfully developed by the Carlson board, along with Rautio."
