Travel and expense management platform Mesh Payments has partnered with Amsterdam-based fintech company Adyen to issue its cards, a capability that Mesh said will help scale its operations in the U.K. and Europe.
With the partnership, Mesh is integrating Adyen's financial technology to issue its local currency cards in the U.K. and Europe, which enables companies to avoid foreign exchange fees, according to Mesh. Companies also can use primary corporate cards from other providers alongside the Adyen-powered cards, with Mesh unifying spend management through its platform.
Mesh CEO and co-founder Oded Zehavi noted that Mesh's European and U.K. operations already are "serving a growing number of global enterprises," and Mesh has had had issuing capabilities in the region via global fintech platform Nium. With Adyen as a partner, Mesh will be able to "onboard more clients from various categories with less friction," he said.
"We are moving beyond market entry to a massive scale," according to Zehavi. "By integrating Adyen's global financial infrastructure, we are ensuring that our customers enjoy robust, high-performance local card capabilities that can grow as fast as they do, without ever forcing them to compromise on their existing banking relationships."
Adyen's reported clients include Meta, Uber, H&M, eBay and Microsoft.
