Corporate travel buyers and travel management companies that use Cornerstone Information Systems' AutoPay service now can generate AirPlus International virtual cards automatically. Cornerstone's iQCX reservation management platform hosts the AutoPay feature. A recent Global Business Travel Association study found that 20 percent of U.S. travel managers use virtual cards, nearly double the percentage who were doing so a year prior. AirPlus has been expanding its A.I.D.A. virtual card product in the U.S. since launching in the market in late 2017. AirPlus already issues virtual cards through Conferma and Troovo, among others, and the addition of Cornerstone will expand A.I.D.A.'s U.S. footprint significantly, according to AirPlus, as Cornerstone clients' annual travel spend totals $25 billion annually.
