CWT has hired David Holmes to the new position of VP of payments. Based in Miami, Holmes worked for UATP for 17 years, most recently leading global commercial strategy. "Payments are an increasingly crucial part of the travel business, and one where innovation is driving huge change," said CWT SVP of global network and technology partners Vince Chirico. Last year, CWT CEO Kurt Ekert told BTN the mega travel management company was looking for ways to capitalize on the "massive changes" set to disrupt payments in the corporate travel sector, adding that CWT's strategy would focus on testing emerging technologies and exploring promising solutions via scaled implementations.
