Worldspan Readies For 'Aggressive' Trip Manager Push
Worldspan next month will announce personnel changes relating to corporate travel e-commerce. Replacing the recently departed John James, Lori Whitted has been promoted to vice president of corporate e-commerce, overseeing the Trip Manager corporate booking product. Whitted reports to senior vice president and general manager of worldwide e-commerce Charlie Sullivan, who formerly headed business services and strategic planning. Vela McClam-Mitchell also was promoted to senior vice president and general manager of worldwide travel supplier solutions.
Speaking of the Trip Manager product, Worldspan president and CEO Paul Blackney said, "We're never satisfied. We performed well against our plan for this year and have aggressive plans for next year. The self-booking corporate business market is emerging and it's important, and everyone needs to know GetThere isn't the only game in town."
