Worldspan Helps Agents Find Well-Located Preferred Hotels

Worldspan today launched improved hotel mapping functionality that goes beyond allowing travel agents to book hotels based on location. Travelers had been interested in finding an approved hotel as close as possible to where they need to be in a destination, whether for individual appointments or a meeting. Worldspan Interactive Maps takes the technology one step further. Having identified the hotel location on the map, it permits the agent to overlay photos, property details, real time rates and availability, thus saving time and effort.

"Agents now can provide this deeper level of information at the click of a computer mouse, making them more productive for their clients," said Ninan Chacko, Worldspan senior vice president for e-commerce and product planning. There are no plans at present to make the enhanced mapping feature part of Worldspan's Trip Manager online booking tool.
