U.S. Bank Corporate Payment Systems on Tuesday launched a statement-credit capability to cover ancillary travel expenses for Executive Platinum Card users.

Through the programs, cardholders are reimbursed for up to $1,200 per year for such approved ancillary expenses as seat upgrades, checked-bag fees, airport lounge access, expedited security screening and in-flight Internet access, according to U.S. Bank Travel Payment Solutions vice president Mary Miklethun. The credit is designed as an alternative to the "long laundry list of benefits that are all disparate services" offered through most top-level corporate cards, she said. "We've taken the approach that we give you a set amount, and you can use your card to buy within the categories that are of the most value to you," Miklethun added.
