Sabre, GetThere Execs Leaving EMEA Posts
The leaders of Sabre and GetThere's operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa are leaving the company in June, the company confirmed today. The departures follow a series of additions to GetThere's European management team the company announced last month.
Ludger Bals, GetThere's director of sales and account management for the EMEA region, will be replaced on an interim basis by Annette Forbes-Marsden, who will serve as the head of sales and service for the EMEA, according to a spokesperson. Bals, who was based in Germany, has served in the position since July 2006.
The spokesperson also confirmed Richard Adams, senior vice president of EMEA for Sabre Travel Network, is leaving the company. Martin Cowley, current chief executive of Sabre Pacific, has been appointed to replace Adams.
