Rosenbluth Restructures Operations
Travel management company Rosenbluth International yesterday announced sweeping structural changes meant to streamline its organization and buttress company leadership.
Particularly, Rosenbluth combined its North American, western European and strategic markets account management teams into an integrated, globally aligned client support team, called Strategic Travel Solutions, which henceforth will operate under the authority of Ron DiLeo, formerly senior vice president of North America, now COO of Strategic Travel Solutions. In creating STS, Rosenbluth hopes to consolidate its global client support and business development resources and improve international processes.
The mega agency also folded its Eclipse Advisors technology unit under Rosenbluth corporate leadership, making it the jurisdiction of John Dabek, formerly CIO, now chief technology and solutions officer. The title change reflects the fact that, in addition to his responsibility for Eclipse and companywide IT, all new product development, GDS strategy and relationship management now are in his charge. Michael Boult, COO of Eclipse Advisors, will report to Dabek.
Eclipse Advisors was launched in November 2001, and its success continues to depend largely on its ability to sell the Dacoda vendor contract optimization tool to corporations that are not Rosenbluth travel management clients.
Along with the restructuring, Rosenbluth has begun an internal global reorganization campaign that will consolidate its human resources, financial and legal departments.
In language typical of CEO and author Hal Rosenbluth, a letter detailing the changes to employees said, "The new structure will allow us to achieve our goals and surpass our dreams." Rosenbluth has made no announcements as to whether the corporate restructuring will mean cuts to its workforce.
